False Prophets II

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. I've been kinda busy/lazy. Just got a new LCD too, so I've been kinda glued to that shit. Beautiful. Anyways, posts will resume as normal. Also, any requests are welcome. If I have them, I'll gladly post them. Sorry Rg, don't got the Detonators LP. If anyone out there does, please share. Speaking of requests, I believe I had one a while back for the False Prophets LP. This is one of those albums that holds it's own against the test of time. I can never get tired of listening to it. So many great songs that aren't even bound towards any single style. Like I mentioned in their previous post, Overkill & Blind Obedience were re-recorded for the album. Both versions rock. I think the best track here is The Taxidermist. But songs like Somebody React, Scorched Earth, & Baghdad Stomp aren't too far behind. Download, listen to some real, original punk rock, and be thankful!

How's it goin' Ograwker,
Thanks for the response..and My bud over at DOwn Underground actually found it..(A Cockateal lost any eye over the celebration, don't ask)Nevertheless, because of my brother Frankie, I'm looking for the f/u Detonators Album "Just Another Reason" (1985).

But that aside on a side note, did you happen to hear about the latest tragic loss of another luminary-Mike Conley, from Orange Counties MIA was found dead last Friday in Chicago...damn shame, and the situation couldn't have been more bizzare...there's a website thats been put up, to help the family he's left behind...smalltakeover blog has more info.>Rg

I hadn't heard the terrible news. That really sucks, first Sean of Void and now Mike of MIA. It's always sad when an influence is lost.

hey,thanks for post !!!
I "discovered" false prophets when I saw them live in Belgium in 1990 and they blew me away, the music was tight, catchy and original, and i could not take my eyes off the singer because of his stage antics (and his long fingernails as well !!!). I have the other 2 LPs so i was really looking forward to listening to that first LP and it did not disappoint me at all, as good as the other LPs !
Cheers,
Phil

I remember having the track SCORCHED EARTH on the NY THRASH Compilation. Pretty funky intro. Thanks for this, man. Cheers!

Is this the same band that appeared in the P.E.A.C.E./WAR double LP that did Bannana Split Republic?
